Part-time Jobs and Academic Performance
I am a sophomore(大学二年级学生) at college.During the summer vacation I had some job interviews, from which I noticed that it was not difficult for a person with rich working experiences to find a satisfactory job. Therefore,I began wondering whether it was advisable for me to spend more time on part-time jobs or to spend most of the time losing myself in my major(全神贯注与我的专业).After careful consideration,I decide to do some part-time jobs during the summer and winter vacations, whereas I will still focus on my studies.
In effect(实际上),working hard in my studies and doing some part-time jobs are not totally contradictory(矛盾的).The former can offer me basic knowledge and skills that are essential to my future career. The latter can help me accumulate working and social experiences, which are valuable and important for me to find a job after graduation. On balance(总的来说/总而言之),studies in my major have the priority (是重点)and meanwhile obtaining working experiences should not be overlooked(忽视).I will try my best to balance them and gain as much as possible from both.
